Entertainment Sector
The Entertainment Sector. This is where you go if you want to find some good SWcentric games, or good games that can be ALTERED to Star Wars fun. Many of these games, unlike SWCombine, require download and/or activation.
Browser Based
Star Wars CombineThe SWC is a browser based Star Wars Simulation, which allows you to create a 'Handle' and a character, and live in that world. But a word of warning: if you're using a shared connection, you'll have to register as a multi-user (and either you will all have to be 'freelance' or all be in the same faction). That means if the first one became a Jedi...the rest will either have to be Jedi, or factionless. and only Force Sensitives can be jedi.
Shareware
Means free to try, but you have to pay to modify or get the full deal for gaming.
Star Wars
Jedi Knight: Dark Forces IIA site with information regarding the second in the Jedi Knight series, as well as a download of the Demo.
Non-Starwars, but Mod-able
Blades of ExileBlades of Exile is a 'Medieval' RPG with old-style graphics. BUT you can mod it using one of the 'Custom Scenarios' Downloadable from the Spiderweb Software Site....IF you've registered the game.
Escape Volcity
This Ambrosia Software Release, along with it's successors, EV: Override and EV: Nova are space exploration games of a unique quality, and allow you to download 'plug-ins' from their website. If you want to play moddable versions of the first two, then you'll need a mac or mac emulator, but the 3rd installment (evnova) is available for both windows and macintosh users.
